Thomas William Anderson

Thomas William “Bill” Anderson, 75, of Jersey Shore passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 6th, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Cherry Tree on August 15, 1946, a son of Boyd T. and Violet Miller Anderson.  He was a 1965 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and a U.S. Army Veteran.  On September 14, 1968, he married Patricia Shaffer and in 1973, they welcomed their son, Scott.

Bill was employed for nearly 40 years with Alcan Cable in Williamsport, where he retired on January 1, 2006 as a Production Manager. He was a member of Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church of Pine Creek.  He was an avid John Wayne fan and enjoyed Honky-Tonk Country Music and, especially Elvis Presley.  He served as a Jersey Shore Little League Coach for many years.

Bill was a lover of all animals and an avid hunter.  He loved spending time at his camp in the hills of Potter County near Germania and at Hills Creek each year for over 40 years.  Bill was a classic example of a family man and loved them dearly and loved spending time with his grandchildren Jackson and Kennedy.

Bill is survived by his wife Pat of nearly 54 years and his son, Scott A. Anderson (Ricardy) of Northern Virginia along with his two grandchildren, Jackson and Kennedy as well as one brother, Robert Anderson of Pine Creek.  Bill was predeceased by his siblings James Anderson, Gretta Pardee, Dorothy Elliot, and Marian Willits. 

Bill’s Life Tribute Memorial Service will be held Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, PA.  Friends and relatives will be received from noon until 1:00 p.m. Contributions can be made in honor of Bill Anderson to Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church, 68 Phelps Rd, Jersey Shore, PA 17740 or the Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
