Shirley R. (Martin) Koch

Our Beloved Angel, Shirley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2021. She was born in Julian on September 12, 1946, and was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood “Woody” and Helen Martin of Julian. She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Wesley W. Koch of Jersey Shore, who she married on June 2, 2002; they never left each other’s side.

Her children are John and Teresa Marsh of Avis, Helen Yorks and her fiancée Rob of Bellefonte, Mary and David Tompkins of Norwood, Missouri, Charles and Paula Marsh of Jersey Shore, Charles “Chuckie” and Mandy Marsh of Dover, and Wesley and Shana Koch of New York. She had 17 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Elwood “JR” and Levi Martin, Carol Hook, and Judy King, Barbara and Denny Confer, all of Julian, and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a dedicated Homemaker and committed her life to raising her children and loving those she knew. She had an eye for interior decorating and enjoyed being outside and landscaping her yard. She was a loyal Cowboys fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family as she was the glue that held them all together. Please be considerate to the family as they all adjust to her loss.
