Sharon J. (DiStasi) Ryan, age 79, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2023 with her loving husband Jack, as well as her son Jack by her side. She was born on November 5, 1944, in Jersey Shore the daughter of the late Anthony and Erma (Delaney) DiStasi who also had a son Anthony “Butch” DiStasi.
Sharon dedicated many years of her life to working with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. She had a deep passion for Harley riding; especially the trips out west that she enjoyed with her husband Jack. Sharon also cherished her time spent walking alongside her dear friend Connie, and shopping adventures with her daughter in law Terri. The excitement of the Atlantic City casinos always captivated her, and she found great joy in spending time there. Most of all, Sharon adored her grandchildren and treasured moments spent with her beloved family.
Sharon was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church. Her devotion to her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Sharon leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including her husband, Jack M. Ryan who she married on September 29,1962 and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary; her son, Jack D. Ryan, and daughter-in-law, Terri; and her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Leah, and Luke Ryan.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass Christian Burial will be held on November 22, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Luke's Catholic Church, located at 118 Kendall Ave, Jersey Shore, PA 17740. Father Burt Kozen will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to UPMC Hospice at 1100 Grampian Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17740.
