Robert E. Barker

Robert E. Barker, 53, of Jersey Shore passed away early Monday morning November 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Jersey Shore July 6, 1968 a son to James and Barbara (Hurlbutt) Barker.  Bob was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and was married December 29, 1999 to the former Stacy Powell who survives.

Bob was Senior Extrusion Specialist for West Company in Jersey Shore where he was employed for over 21 years. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Loyal Order of Moose and B.P.O. Elks Lodge.  He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Auxiliary both of Jersey Shore.  Bob was an avid Penn State football fan.  He was a member of the Jersey Shore pool league with trusty pool cue “Merlin”.  He enjoyed grocery shopping and watching professional wrestling. His number one love was his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Stacy of nearly 22 years he is survived by three children, Chelsea Eggler (Gary) of Lock Haven, Aaron Shilling of Jersey Shore and Brandon Barker of Williamsport.  Five grandchildren Clara, Lorraine, Heather and Emily Eggler and Lucian Shilling. One brother Cody Boatman, a sister Tammy Sheehan (Joe) of Williamsport and his mother Barbara (Dale Brion) of Florida.  He is also survived by his best friend, “Captain Buddy Barker”, his black lab that never left his side.  He was predeceased by two brothers Jason and Daniel Barker.

Bob’s Life Tribute will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home 1002 Allegheny Street Jersey Shore, PA 17740.  Friends and Relatives may call from 3:00 – 4:00pm at the Funeral Home.  Please observe the Covid-19 protocol.  A gathering will then follow at the Jersey Shore Moose Lodge following the services.
