Ricky E. Young

Ricky E. “Rick” Young, 52, of Trout Run passed away, Saturday evening, Oct. 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jersey Shore, Jan 30, 1968, a son of Jack and Irene (Smith) Young. 

Rick was a Jersey Shore High School graduate.  He was married on April 8, 2000 to the former Nadine Kuntz who survives. He was employed for over 15 years with High Steel where he was a Yard Man and Reamer. He was a member of the Steam Valley Bible Church and a member of the NRA. Rick enjoyed hunting and hiking and was an accomplished guitar player.

His survivors include his wife, Nadine and his daughter Jodi Young at home; his mother Irene Young; two brothers, Duane Young (Margaret), Salladasburg, Keith Young (Kelly), Avis; a sister, Debra Howard (Don), Arkansas; a step-son, Daniel Lockcuff (Melissa), Missouri and a step-daughter, Stephanie Bennett (Matthew), Islamorada, FL, along with seven grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Ricky was predeased by his father in 2017, and his brother, Kevin, who passed away in 1994.

Rick’s Life Tribute will be held at 11 AM, Thurs. Oct. 15, 2020 at the Steam Valley Bible Church, 570 State Rt. 184, Trout Run, PA  17771 with his Pastor Tom MacAvoy presiding.  A luncheon will follow with interment for family and close friends to be held at 2:30 PM in Woodward Township Cemetery, Linden.

Friends and family may call at the church on Thursday, from 10 AM to 11 AM.  Please observe social distancing and wear your mask.  Contributions may be made to the Steam Valley Bible Church.
