Rebecca “Becky” Anne Guinter, 73, of Blandon, PA passed away, Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Penn State Medical Center in Reading. She was born September 25, 1948 in Williamsport, a daughter of Robert N. and Myrtle R. (Shaw) Cowher.
Becky was a graduate of Williamsport High School; she retired in 2004 from her life time occupation as a Data Entry and Payroll Clerk. Becky was married June 27, 1987 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Williamsport to F. Eugene Guinter who survives. Becky’s had a deep appreciation for Veteran service men and women. She also enjoyed sewing for Ryan’s Case for Smiles, an organization making colorful pillow cases for hospitalized children.
Besides her husband, Gene, she is survived by two sons; Richard L. Ungard, Jr. (Linda) of, Linden and Timothy S. Ungard (Dawn) of, Montoursville; one stepdaughter, Janine M. Mastracco (Nick), of Larryville; one sister, Rosalie Miller (Ted), of Cogan Station, along with grandchildren and step grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley (Alicia), Nolan, Alisia (Ricky), Vanessa, Timothy, Jr., Allyson, Lance, Jenna, Taelyr, Mackenzie and great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, Liam, Raegan, Sadie, Bellamy, Zara. Becky is also survived by a sister in law, Diane Cowher.
Becky was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert M. and Richard L. Cowher.
A graveside service will be held at the Montoursville Cemetery for Becky on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. John F. Piper officiating. Her family suggests contributions be made to the Disabled Veterans by visiting www.dav.org online.
