Paula C. Schreck

Paula C. Schreck, 52, of Jersey Shore, passed away, at the Gatehouse, Wed. Sept. 9, 2020 at the Gatehouse after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 22, 1967, the daughter of the late George E. and Ruby E. (Overdorf) Schreck.

Paula lived her entire life in Jersey Shore and worked hard to achieve a Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. Paula was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Jersey Shore.   She had many interests but her most favorite included cooking, sharing recipes with everyone and playing board and card games and a genuine love for animals.  Paula most enjoyed being a support person for others and was always encouraging and helping her family and friends.

Paula had incredible strength and a never ending Faith in God.  She was exemplary in her battle with the vicious disease that took her from all of us. 

She will be very much missed for her quick wit and her kind, caring and loving personality.

She is survived by a brother, George E. Schreck II (Michelle), of Colorado, two sisters, Virginia A. Seitzer (Clayton), of Antes Fort and Sharon L. Mendez (Miguel), of Jersey Shore; a niece, Rachel E. Owen (Nathan); a nephew, Christopher L. Schreck, a great niece, Isabell G. Owen; and her two fur babies, Gracie Mae and Sandy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, John Allen Fave.

Services will be announced for a later date, they will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore, with Pastor Brian Moyer officiating.
