Michael A. Freezer, 47, of Williamsport passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was born in Williamsport, January 31, 1974, the son of Gary and Christina (Stephens) Freezer.
Mike’s entire family is devastated by the loss of the sweetest man, adventurer, the love of people and life.
He was a 1993 graduate of Williamsport High School. After graduation, he immediately enlisted in the US Army and was stationed at Worms military base in Germany. Mike was a Lycoming County 911 Dispatcher for many years. He was currently employed by Appalachian Gas and Oil in Montoursville, where he was a safety engineer and had just been promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Mike at one time was actively involved with Citizens Hose Company #45 in Jersey Shore and South Williamsport Fire Station #5. He was Captain at the Woodward Township Fire Company Station #2 in Linden. Mike has visited 49 states and he enjoyed traveling.
Michael’s survivors include his parents, Gary and Christina Freezer, of Fortson, GA and his sister Jenna Hughes (Jason), also of Fortson along with a niece, Emily and a nephew, Andrew.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Chuck Nork’s river lot at 881 Windswept Drive in Linden. A Flag folding ceremony will be accorded at 2 PM by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard; followed by a memorial service conducted by Pastor Jeffrey Howell.
