Mary "Robin" Corson Obituary

Mary “Robin” Corson 69 of Jersey Shore passed away peacefully Thursday, February 1 at Jersey Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Teaneck, New Jersey February 28, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. & Roselyn (Santulli) Corson.

Robin was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School & Penn College.  She was first employed at Cobblers Shoe Factory where she met her lifelong friend Edna Apker.  She worked over 25 years at Shop Vac where she met her other good friend Betty Gibson.

Robin was assistant Girl Scout leader for several years and she also worked the grill in the Bulldog Concession Stand.

Robin loved to read, watch movies, thrift, write poetry & tell jokes.  She loved babies & children.  She taught them how to fly kites, make paper hats out of newspaper and kept them entertained for hours with her silly jokes & ditties.

Robin had a gruff exterior that concealed a kind and generous heart.  She will be sorely missed by her family & all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Robin is survived by 3 sisters: Georgiana (Paul) Mazur, Jacqueline (Robert) Fox & Maureen (Michael) Dincher; 1 brother, Lawrence E. (Melanie) Corson, as well as many beloved nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Veronica Corson.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Family Hospice at UPMC (Amy Crowley) and to her friends on the 3rd floor of Jersey Shore Nursing and Rehab.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Robin’s memory can be made to The Central PA Food Bank 3301 Wahoo Drive, Williamsport PA or Family Hospice 1100 Grampian Boulevard Williamsport PA 17701.
