Mary L. Myers Winters, 91, of English Center passed away at her residence late Wednesday afternoon, November 17, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Williamsport on August 29, 1930, the daughter of Randel and Carrie Nichols Myers.
She married Richard L. Winters, Sr. on April 8, 1950 and he passed away in 1982. Mary was a homemaker her entire life raising her 7 children. She attended the Old English Center United Methodist Church. She was the family seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She also enjoyed gardening, word search, her soap operas and games shows. Her first love was her family.
Mary’s survivors include 6 surviving children: her sons, Richard Jr., Randel (Regina) of English Center; 4 daughters, Dorothy Devine (James) of Brooksville, FL, Eleanor Paucke (Denny) of Cedar Run, Mary Greene (Larry) of English Center and Bonnie Phelps (Jeff) of Oregon Hill; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her son-in-law, Bill Zerance and a dear friend, Ellen Campbell along with numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathie Zerance in 2017 and a grandson Lenny Winters in 1982
Private family graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021. A gathering for friends and family will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Brown Township Fire Hall, 18118 Rt. 414 Hwy, Cedar Run. Her family suggests contributions be made to either the Love Center of Jersey Shore at www.thenewlovecenter.com or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN at www.stjude.org.
