Mary R. (Simcox) Bower, 74, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Haven Place in Lock Haven. She was born in Lock Haven on February 10, 1950, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Betty G. (Chaplain) Simcox, Sr.

Mary was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and married Ronald E. Bower on June 14, 1969, who survives. Mary worked for many years in quality control for WestCo in Jersey Shore. She was a member of the Garman Lutheran Church of Avis and a former member of the Avis Fire Co. Auxiliary. She was a hospice volunteer, enjoyed sewing and breakfasts with friends at Janey's.

Besides her husband, Ronald, Mary is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Robert) Kehoe of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Judy Bennett of Antes Fort. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a sister, Patty Wilson; and three brothers, Joseph, Larry and David Simcox.

Mary's life tribute will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Pastor David Tressler officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a public visitation from 10am until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Woolrich.
