Linda J. Caris, age 82, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023, in Jersey Shore. She was born on December 12, 1940, in Lock Haven, and her vibrant spirit will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Linda dedicated her life to her work as a self-employed hairdresser, bringing joy to her clients with her skillful hands and warm smile. Her commitment to her craft earned her the respect and admiration of all who crossed her path. Linda's passion for hairstyling was only surpassed by her love for her family.
She was the heart of the family, always providing unwavering support, love, and guidance. Linda found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She treasured every moment shared with them. She looked forward to her frequent breakfasts together with her beloved breakfast club friends.
Linda had a thirst for knowledge and was an avid reader. She found solace in the pages of her favorite books, which transported her to different worlds and sparked her imagination. Her enthusiasm for literature was contagious, inspiring many around her to embark on their own literary journeys.
Linda was a devoted member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she found comfort and strength in her faith. She also cherished her 41 years of marriage and was a loyal member of the married community.
She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Romig, her beloved husband, Ronald Caris, her parents, Walter and Verla (Kimbal) Bower, her sisters, Rena Koch and Faye Solomon, and her brother, Steven Bower. Although their absence is deeply felt, Linda's memories with them will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her son, Jon Romig, her daughters, Lori Romig, Nichole Caris Page (Shannon), and Ronni Caris Miller (Evan), as well as her sister, Anne Clausen. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, who will carry on her spirit of love and kindness.
A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held on November 18, 2023, at 6:00pm from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 229 South Broad Street in Jersey Shore, PA 17740. Reverend Dr. Kerry Aucker will officiate the ceremony, offering words of comfort and remembrance.
