Laurie L. (Dershem) Frantz

Laurie L. (Dershem) Frantz, 47, of McElhattan, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 at the Williamsport Home. She was born on Oct. 23, 1972 to Ralph and Sherry (Myers) Dershem, Jr.

Laurie worked in sales at ACC in Montoursville. She was a member of Crossroads Church in Jersey Shore. She loved her children and spending time with her family. Laurie’s favorite thing to do was take them to concerts. She was an animal lover and liked to workout and swim.

In addition to her parents, Laurie is survived by two daughters, Mackenzie Frantz, Jersey Shore and Ciara Renzo, McElhattan, two paternal uncles, James and Charles Dershem, a paternal aunt, Frances Dershem, a maternal aunt, Cindy Noltee (John) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Laurie is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ralph and Harriet Dershem, Sr.  and maternal grandparents, Elwood and June Myers.

A celebration of life service for Laurie will be held at 8:00pm on Saturday Dec. 28 at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Pastor John Phillips officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 6-8pm at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Laurie’s family will provide the flowers.
