Larry Dean Riggle, 82, of Jersey Shore, passed away on June 3rd, 2022 at home peacefully with his daughter by his side. Born in Jersey Shore, PA, he was a son of the late Emery and Ellen (Spong) Riggle.
Larry loved to spend his days outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, and motorcycling were among his favorite things to do. He was also a proud member of the NRA and Moose. On December 11, 1976, Larry married the love of his life, Donna Marie (Brown) Riggle.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by daughter Mary Riggle, brothers Carl, Ray, and Craig, sister Jane Getehen, son-in-law Dwayne “DJ” Davis, Jr., grandson-in-law- Leonard “Lenny” Stroud, Jr., step-son Joey Brion.
Larry is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Donna Riggle, daughter Mindy Davis, grandchildren Ellie Stroud, Adrienne Bardo, Dalton Bardo, great grandchildren Alaina Beehler, Serenity Beehler, and Penelope Bardo, brothers Jim, Steve, and Scott Riggle, sisters Martha Guthrie, Betty Fuller, Jean Knight, Deb Riggle, Bonnie Frickey, Judy Tainao, step-son Chuck Brion (Norma), 2 step-grandchildren, 3 great step-grandchildren, step-daughter Tammy Andrus (Glen), 2 step-grandchildren, step-daughter Amy Kirkessner (Randy), and 1 step-grandchild.
Larry wished to make a special thank you to his wife, daughter, granddaughter Ellie, and daughter-in-law Norma, for providing loving care in order to remain in his home, as he wished. Also, a special thank you to all of his caregivers and nurses at UPMC Home Hospice, especially Mary Widener and Amy Crowley.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at The Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home. The service will be held at 11:00AM, with Pastor Don Peters officiating. A Burial at Tombs Run Cemetery, Piatt Township, will follow. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UPMC Home Hospice.
