Keith Neil McHenry, Dispatcher #20, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at his residence in Wayne Township, Clinton County, after a battle with cancer. Keith was the son of Jerry and Nancy Sparks McHenry, and they both survive. He was a loving son; father, brother, uncle and companion.
He retired as shift supervisor for Clinton County Community Center where he was employed 28 years and affectionately known as "Dispatcher #20." He was a U.S. Marine Corps service member from 1984 to 1988 where he attained the rank of corporal and was an antitank guided missile specialist. Keith was a train enthusiast and knowledgeable in all aspects of railroading. He was a fan and faithful follower of the Keystone All-Star Baseball Team from Clinton County. He also enjoyed camping and sitting at the campfire.
Besides his parents, Nancy and Jerry, of Wayne Township, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Segura (Paul), of Key West, along with three grandchildren, Matthew, Brayden, and Camryn; two sisters, Holly Gharet (Steve), and Debra Dawes (Joseph); a niece, Nicole (Nicki) Gharet, and a nephew, Andrew Dawes; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his caring, loving companion, Marie Hensel.
Keith's tribute of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 220 High St., Jersey Shore, with Pastor Kenneth Linn assisted by Pastor Rodney Bartman officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard. Friends and relatives may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, Oct. 1. His family will provide the flowers and suggest contributions be made to the UPMC Cancer Treatment Center, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
