Karen E. "Cookie" Ergott

Karen E. “Cookie” (Lazorka) Ergott, 71, of Pine Creek passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at The Gatehouse surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin, PA a daughter to the late Joseph & Marilyn (Wood) Lazorka.

Karen was a 1969 graduate of the Jersey Shore High School.  She received her Associates Degree in business and worked at the Jersey Shore State Bank before moving into the food service business as a Waitress for The Shore Diner where everyone loved her and she loved her customers just as much! She retired from the Diner in 2020. Karen was a people person and always greeted you with a smile. She cherished her time with her family, enjoyed working in her garden and loved her cats, Buddy & Maggie. She also loved to go to her daughter Jen’s crazy house to help with her fur babies too!

Karen’s survivors include: her husband of 32 years Thomas Ergott of Pine Creek; a son, Jason Rainey (Laurie) of NV and a Daughter, Jennifer Cameron of Pine Creek;  four grandchildren, Nate, Kodi (Lykea), Joshua and Tristen; two great grandchildren, Elias and Stevie Raye; two brothers Daniel Lazorka (Pam) and Jim Lazorka (Beth); two sisters Tina Ankney (Chuck) and Susan Lazorka-Phillips (Bob); a sister-in-law Betsy Lazorka, along with several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by two brothers Steve and David Lazorka.

There will be a public visitation at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home 1002 Allegheny Street Jersey Shore on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Lycoming County SPCA at 2805 Reach Road Williamsport, PA 17701.
