John’s family was very important to him and he loved them dearly.

John was a US Army Veteran.  He was married on March 23, 1962 to the former Judith “Judy” A. Besides his wife, Judy, of nearly 59 years; he is survived by three daughters, Kathy Fagan (Lee) of Craig, CO, Karin Long (Vincent), of Sandy Hook, KY and Kristal Winner (David) of Loyalsock; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Kaleb, Krislyn, Kariann, Brady, Makenna, Bryce and Erin along with seven great grandchildren.  He is also survived by one brother, Bob (Patricia), of Jersey Shore.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathryn Bletz.
