John L. Guiswite
Obituary
John L. Guiswite passed away peacefully August 15, 2022 at ProMedica in Jersey Shore. He was born July 15, 1935 in Loganton, PA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sally A. (Lehman) Guiswite, who passed away on May 25, 2015. He is the son of Mildred Guiswite. John served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 to 1962 and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Fairplay Gospel Fellowship Church in Jersey Shore. He was employed at Bill Marks Ford where he was an Automotive Repair Service Manager. John was also preceded in death by his mother, Mildred; one sister, Miriam and one brother, Harry “Duffy” Guiswite. John is survived by his five children, Wayne E. Guiswite (Valerie) of Jersey Shore, Donald Guiswite (Susan) of Harrisburg, Michael A. Guiswite (Shelly) of Jersey Shore, John L. Guiswite (Michelle) of Loganton, and one daughter, Kathy Delaney (Donald III) of Jersey Shore. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Lebo of Maryland. John also has 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. John will be laid to rest next to Sally in the Oval Cemetery with a graveside service on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Fairplay Gospel Church at 1625 Walnut Street, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
