Jeffery Clair Hoover, 70, of Jersey Shore, PA passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1951 in Lock Haven, a son of Howard Kenneth and Luella Anna (Clark) Hoover. He received his Bachelors of Biology degree from Lock Haven State College and Attended Pennsylvania State University. For over 30 years he was employed by the DEP as a compliant specialist.
Jeff was a member of the Flemington First Church of Christ in Mill Hall where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed gardening, reading, country music and his Springer Spaniel’s, Lielah and Jazzie. He was a “You-Tuber” and loved his camp in Potter County and back country “no winter access” roads and was an avid hunter.
His survivors include his wife of nearly 30 years, the former, Mary Jane (Frank) whom he married August 10, 1991; four daughters, Brenda Hoover (Troy), of Flemington, Jennifer Shroat (Greg) of Harrisburg, Amy Hanley (Joe), of Lock Haven and Shelly Hoover of Beech Creek, two grandchildren; Clayton Hanley (Sierra) and Montana Hanley, two brothers, Joseph Hoover (Vicky) of Mill Hall and Michael Hoover (Helen) of Berwick
Jeff’s celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal Street, Mill Hall, PA 17751 with his Pastor Mark Riley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service at the church.
His family suggests contributions be made to either his church or the Kettle Creek Hose Company, 7 Firehouse Lane, Cross Fork, PA 17729.
