Jane Zerbe Obituary

Jane L. Zerbe, 84 formerly of Burke Street in Jersey Shore and Hershey passed away early Thursday morning at the Masonic Village Center in Elizabethtown where she had been a guest since early October 2021.

She was born February 18, 1937 in Lock Haven a daughter of Russell S. and Violet M. (Ergott) Brooks. She was married to the late John R. Zerbe who passed away August 19, 2005.  Jane was the manager of Luria’s Women Fashion Shop in Lock Haven.  She was also a clerk at the Smart Shop and retired from Kauffman’s at the Lycoming Mall in 2002.  Jane was a member of the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.  She was a receptionist for over 15 years with Weight Watchers of Central PA in both Jersey Shore and Williamsport.  She was a member of the Avis United Methodist Church where she was a trustee, chaired the nominating committee and was a member of the personnel committee. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren & great grandchildren immensely.

Janes survivors include her three sons Dennis Zerbe (Salinda) of San Antonio, TX, Dean Zerbe (Beth) of Mohnton and John Zerbe (Lori) of Hershey;  One daughter Danielle Hawkins (Marc) of West Chester, along with her sister Joyce Frey (Kenneth) of Linden. Ten grandchildren: Kamela, Karissa, Nathan, Rachel, Zachary, Alexandra, Madeline, Megan, Carter and Brooks. 12 great grandchildren: Kaeden, Bryce, Emalyn, Luke, Drew, Lorelei, Kevin, Ryan, Chance, Sterling, Monroe & Theodore.

Jane’s Life Tribute Celebration will be held at her family’s convenience with her interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Woolrich.
