Jack E. Delaney, 69, of Avis passed away early Thursday, March 12, 2020 at his residence. He was born, August 23, 1950 in Lock Haven a son of the late Bernard C. and Vona M. (Furl) Delaney.
He was a graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School in 1969 and Williamsport Area Community College where he received a degree in welding. Jack was employed by Jersey Shore Steel Co., ACF in Milton and retired from Atlantic Millwrights in Reading, MA. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and The American Legion of Jersey Shore. Jack was a member of US National Guard; he enjoyed going hunting and fishing.
Jack is survived by his wife, the former Constance “Connie” Barto whom he married, July 9, 1983. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond and David and his sister, Sandra Reading and his niece, Jami Boylen.
In keeping with Jack’s wishes, there will be no services; the family has entrusted arrangements to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
