Harry D. Knarr, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023, in Williamsport at the age of 86. He was born on November 3, 1936, in Rauchtown, to the late Henry E. and Elizabeth (Sents) Knarr, Sr.
Harry was a man of simple pleasures and found joy in the little things in life. He had a deep appreciation for nature and spent many hours tending to his yard and gardens. Bird watching brought him a sense of peace and wonder, as he marveled at the beautiful creatures that graced his backyard. On Sundays, Harry enjoyed taking leisurely car rides, immersing himself in the scenic beauty that surrounded him.
Married to the love of his life, Sarah A. (Reeder) Knarr, for an incredible 50 years, their bond was unbreakable. Together, they raised three children: Timothy Knarr (Tina), Harry Knarr (Mags), and Loretta Knarr (Keith Pskowski). Harry was a devoted and loving father, always providing guidance and support to his children. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather to his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whom he adored unconditionally.
Harry dedicated 38 years of his life as a machine operator for West Pharmaceutical in Williamsport before retiring in 2001. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft were exemplary. Harry was also a lifelong member of the St. James Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sarah, who passed away in 2009, and siblings Donna Price, Patricia Taylor, John Knarr, James Knarr, and Henry Knarr, Jr.
Harry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by his family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, private services will be held to honor and celebrate his life. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church at 3242 Middle Road, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
May Harry D. Knarr rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
