Evelyn Bowes Obituary
Evelyn C. Bowes, 79, formerly of Lock Haven, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on October 24, 1944 to the late George and Elinor (Magnuson) Strauch. Evelyn was an executive secretary for Woolrich for 18 years, followed by a second career as a dental assistant in Lock Haven and Williamsport. She married the late George Bowes on May 8, 1980 and they shared 32 years together until his passing. Her great passions in life were spending time with her family and serving on medical mission trips throughout Latin America.
Evelyn is survived by two sons, David G. (Kristin) Richard of Atlanta, Georgia; and Douglas A. (Clarice) Richard of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a brother, Karl Strauch, of Doylestown.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
