Emma Spotts, 96, of Bastress Township, entered eternal life and into the arms of the Lord, Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Jersey Shore Manor Care.  She was born February 3, 1924, the daughter of the late John L. Fronk and Mary E. Lebo. 

Emma was a graduate of the Jersey Shore Senior High School.  She married the love of her life, Clarence “Boots” M. Spotts on February 16, 1946; they shared over 32 years of marriage until his passing August 6, 1978. Emma was a sewer, employed by Weldon’s Garment Factory and also a Personal Caregiver; caring for many people.  She was a member of the Mountain View Alliance Christian Church for over 65 years and was very involved in many aspects of the church and Christian faith. 

Emma learned to play the piano at the age of eight and put her musical talent to good work within her church and various activities through the years.  She was a member of the Modern Agers well into her 90’s.  Emma loved to shop and take care of her Peonies.  Her favorite color was purple and she was well known for the wonderful stories she would share with everyone.  Emma was a loving, kind woman who would help out anyone in any way she could; throughout her entire life she made very strong friendships and relationships with many people her love for others was widespread and deep. Emma’s most important passion was her family; she deeply loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Emma is survived by her son, Steve W. Spotts (Patty), Jersey Shore; her daughter, Marylyn Willits (Gary), Bastress Township; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.  She is also survived by her sister, Ann Marie McDonald, Rochester, NY and numerous nephews and nieces.

Emma’s services will be private at the convenience of her family.  Interment will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
