Dotty J. (Young) Lupold

JERSEY SHORE - Dotty J. (Young) Lupold, 69, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Susque View, Lock Haven.

She was married on July 10, 1971 to the late John I. Lupold and they had celebrated 46 years as husband and wife at the time of his death in 2018.

Dotty was born in Lock Haven on September 17, 1951 and was the daughter of Robert J. Young of Jersey Shore and the late Dorothy L. (Welch) Young.  She graduated from Jersey Shore High School and then attended WACC in Williamsport.  Dotty was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, sitting on the porch and playing cards, craft shows and doing latch hook rugs.  Her greatest love was for her grandchildren and was always attending any of their events.  She was known as “team grandma”.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons; John I. Lupold, Jr. (Wendy) of Avis and Travis J. Lupold of Jersey Shore, one daughter; Heather R. Carlin (Dwayne) of Jersey Shore, two grandchildren; Madison R. Carlin and Ian C. Carlin, two brothers; Robert J. Young, Jr. (Leigh) of Mill Hall and David W. Young (Tammy) of Towanda and two sisters; Cynthia M. Dauberman of Lock Haven and Kim W. Shaffer (Larry) of Waterville.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother; Raymond S. Young.

The graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Jersey Shore Cemetery, with pastor Larry Siikanen from Phelps Chapel officiating.
