JERSEY SHORE - Dorothy “Dot” Koch, got her Christmas wish to be with the Lord on December 25, 2019 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore. She was born on November 19, 1921 to the late Chester P. English and Mabel (Brown) English. Dorothy married the love of her life, Ted C. Koch on October 17, 1947 and shared 33 years of marriage until his passing on September 29, 1980.
Dorothy served honorably during WWII as a nurse in the W.A.C.s. After marriage, Dorothy was a homemaker who loved gardening, canning and making her family famous “Sticky buns”.
Dorothy was a member of the Larry’s Creek Ladies Auxiliary and the Antes Fort United Methodist Church where she was active for many years.
Dorothy is survived by daughters; Helen Willits and Jody McKibben, grandchildren; Kathy Sellinger and Kristi (Dan) Zellers, Scott (Kendra) Willits, Kendra Bendik, Christopher and Michael McKibben, great grandchildren; Haydan and Harpar Zellers, Marissa and Tommy Long, Blaze and Jonathon Conway, Carreria Bendik and Kenny Willits and one brother; James C. English of MS.
Dorothy was preceded in death by one daughter; Sharon Sellinger, brothers Leon (Dutch) English and Paul English and sisters; Bessie Harmon and Norma Summers.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services.
Arrangements are being handled by Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
