Connie M. Hillyard, 83 of Salladasburg passed away late Sunday night February 25, 2024 at the Williamsport North Manorcare Nursing Center where she was a guest only a week.

She was born in Jersey Shore, March 26, 1940, the daughter of Cloyd and Mildred Edkin Burke.  She was married July 07, 1961 to Donald L. Hillyard who survives.

Connie was employed with Primus Technologies for several years where she was a solderer and modular technician.  She was a member of the Salladasburg United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Larry’s Creek Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing cards.  Connie was known for her delicious batches of peanut brittle.  She enjoyed her family’s ball games and little league, but most of all just loved on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Connie’s survivors include her husband, Donald L. Hillyard of 62 ½ years along with two sons: Gene Hillyard (Patricia) and Eric Hillyard (Janet) all of Salladasburg; three daughters; Lori Stiger (Marc) of Warrensville, Merry White of Salladasburg, and Holly Allen (Todd) of Linden.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren as well as one sister; Evelyn Carpenter of Alaska.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Hank D. Hillyard, brother James Burke and her parents.
