Obituary
Charles C. Rinehart Jr., 90, formerly of Wellsboro and McElhattan passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Porter Township Lycoming County on June 11, 1933, a son of Charles C. and Estella Edwards Rinehart Sr. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Spring Window Fashion Co. in Montgomery. He was an accomplished landscape painting artist and enjoyed reading and visiting libraries. He also enjoyed doing yard work and being outdoors hunting and fishing.
His wife, Jane M. (Boatman) Rinehart predeceased him and they were married on March 5, 1955. His survivors include his son Charles C. Rinehart III (Lori) of Linden, two grandchildren, Jamie Rinehart Welshans of Jersey Shore and Andrew Rinehart of Maryland. He also has six great grandchildren.
Graveside Military Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Jersey Shore Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. with honors being accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
