Candace Welshans Obituary

Candace Louise (Henry) Welshans, 73, of Avis was surrounded by her family when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 10, 2023.

Candy was the daughter of Wylie and Louise Henry and grew up at the Tiadaghton Elm tree where she began her life of wonderful adventures.  She spent her life being the life of the party and being of service in her local community.  Candy was a member of the Avis Rec, was President of the Softball league, served as a softball coach, member of the Avis Fire Company Auxiliary, and Lioness Club.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles H. Welshans of Avis, and her children:  Ivey Welshans of Philadelphia and Tyson Welshans (Tonya) of Jersey Shore; Grandchildren Riley and Grace Welshans of Jersey Shore, Levon Gropman of Maine who she filled in as grandmother for her sister and a brother, Wylie L. Henry (Heather) of California..

She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Ruth C. Monks.

Candy spent her life caring for her family but her greatest joy was being a grandmother which she reminded her children often.  Candy loved life, people, and should be remembered with the joy she gave others.
