Betty M. (Greene) Glantz

Betty M. Glantz, 90, of Avis, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018.  She was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Lykens, Dauphin County, the daughter of the late Davis and Blanche (Enders) Greene.

Betty was a homemaker all of her life, who enjoyed knitting, sewing, canning and cooking.  She was a volunteer in the kitchen at the Love Center in Jersey Shore.  Betty was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Avis

Betty is survived by two sons, Paul Glantz (Genia) of South Hill, VA, Clair Glantz (Elaine), of Freeport, FL; two daughters, Sharon Johnson (John) of Mill Hall, Rosemary Glantz of South Williamsport; six grandchildren, Jason Richards, Stephanie Richards, Michael Miele, Michelle Clevinger, Brittany Glantz, Jeremy Glantz and 2 great grandchildren, James Glantz and Krislyn Clevinger.  Betty is also survived by a brother, Bob Greene and two sisters, Alice Stroud and Martha Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Larry Greene, two sisters, Virginia Welshans and Shirley Nichols.

There will be a Tributes of Life service for Betty starting with a visitation, Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.  Her funeral service will be Saturday, Aug 25, 2018 at 11 am at the Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 West Highland Street Avis, PA  17721.  Burial will be at the privacy of the family.  Betty requested for everyone who attends her services to wear colorful attire to honor and celebrate her life!
