Ann L. Aungst

Ann L. Aungst, 87, of Waterville passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport.  She was born September 5, 1934 in Catawissa, a daughter of Andrew S. and Laura Stiles Sholter.  Ann was married to Maynard “Sammy” Aungst and he passed away in 2005.  She was a Secretary, book keeper and partner with her husband owning the former Jersey Shore Hotel, the Ice House and the Grey Stone Inn near Piper Field in Lock Haven.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, taking care of nature, feeding deer and her beloved Pine Creek and Little Pine Creek Valley’s. 

Her survivors include her niece Tammy Greenbank (Doug) of Fort Wayne, In.; and Nephews Mark Sholter (Debbie) and Gary Sholter of Oregon and Darren Sholter of Alaska.  Two Step daughters, Barbara Smeltzer of Jersey Shore and Sherry Lolito of New Jersey, along with six step grandchildren.  Ann also has many close and dear friends

In keeping with Ann’s wishes there will be no visitation or services at this time.  Her family suggests contributions be made to the Lycoming Animal Protective Society at lapsshelter.org
