William "Bill" Charles Hilling, 87, passed away on June 7, 2024, in his hometown of Williamsport.  He was born on June 26, 1936, in Williamsport to the late William T. and Florence Hilling.  He had a successful career for the state and himself as a land surveyor for 50 years.

A man of many interests, Bill was known for being an avid hunter and gun enthusiast, as well as enjoying NASCAR Racing.  His dedication extended beyond his hobbies, as he was also a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Leverda E. Hilling, his sons Curt Hilling and Allen Hilling (Marie), his daughter Crystal Matthews (Wesley), ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as his brothers Barry Hilling (Beverly) and Gary Hilling (Gladys).  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Verus Hilling.

A funeral service to honor Bill's life will be held at Walnut Street Baptist Church, located at 201 W. Highland Street in Avis, PA 17721, on Saturday, June 15, 2024 with visitation from 10:00-11:00AM.  Services will start at 11:00AM

In lieu of flowers, the family asks any contributions be made to the Walnut Street Baptist Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home at 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, PA.
