BROOKSIDE - Virginia L. (Hopkins) Buck, 94, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 18, 1930, in Cogan House, a daughter of the late Stewart and Helen (Wood) Hopkins.

Virgina was a member of Steam Valley Bible Church. Upon graduating from Hughesville High School, she married the late Archie S. Buck, Jr., together they shared 43 years of marriage until his passing on January 13, 1996. Virgina was a loving homemaker for her husband and children. She enjoyed walks, listening to dreamy music and staying in her routine. Viginia was full of laughter and was the life of the party. She liked to people watch and loved a great meal.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Alan Buck (Wanda) of Brookside; and Shawn Buck of Hagerstown, MD; two daughters, Raine (Don) of Greer, SC; and Charmian (Francine) of Brookside; two grandsons, Bradley Buck (Ellie) and Devon Buck (Christen); six grandchildren, Amelia, Caedmon, Thorin, Rylan, Lincoln, and Gideon Buck; a brother, Robert Hopkins of Brookside; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Archie, Virginia is preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Belmont and Lewis Hopkins; and a sister, Arlene Carnes.

Services for Virginia will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
