Timothy B. Harrington, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 72. Tim was born on June 22, 1953, to the late Richard and Doris (McGonigal) Harrington in Lock Haven, PA. Tim lived a life rich with dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
Tim spent much of his career as a Welding Inspector for the PA Turnpike/PennDot, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His commitment to excellence was apparent in all aspects of his professional life.
In his youth, Tim was an outstanding high school athlete, competing in football, baseball, and basketball. His love for sports continued throughout his life, as he later found great joy in coaching little league for his sons and basketball at JS Middle School alongside his dear friend, Steve Lehman.
Tim had a profound love for the beach, cherishing family trips to Oak Island, NC. He was also a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies, often sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends.
He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #36, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and fellowship it provided.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Ann R. (Bottorf) Harrington; his sons, Dan Harrington and Ben Harrington; and his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Joseph, Michelle, and Andrew Harrington. He is also survived by his sisters, Barb (Don) Zerbe, Joanie (Brad) Gibson, and Carol (Fred) Reese.
A public viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Jersey Shore Cemetery.
Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
