JERSEY SHORE - Terry Lee Garner, 77, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home.

He was married to the late Marilyn Rae (Confair) Garner for 57 years at the time of her death on August 30, 2025.

Terry was born on August 16, 1948 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Douglas H. and Madeline (Runner) Garner. He had been retired and before, he had worked at Haven Homes and Tetley Tea. He was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing softball and spending time with his dog “Lucy”.

Terry is survived by two sons; Michael H. “Mike” Garner (Marsha Schoonmaker) of Jersey Shore and Douglas R. Garner (Erin) of Jersey Shore, one daughter; Lisa A. Styers (Tom) of Jersey Shore, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister; Karon Fredrikson (Lee) of Jersey Shore.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service, 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge #1057, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of his life.

Arrangements are being handled by Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
