Shirley W. Schively

JERSEY SHORE - Shirley W. Schively, 86, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at ManorCare South. Born in McElhattan on Aug. 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Harrison and Lucille Mullen Wolfe. Shirley was married to Lee R. Schively, who passed away on July 8, 2011, together they shared 63 years of marriage.

Shirley graduated from the Lock Haven High School and she retired from the West Company in Jersey Shore after many years of working there. She was also employed as a bus driver for the O.H. Reading Bus Company driving for the Jersey Shore Area School District. Shirley was a member of the Oriole United Methodist Church.

Family was very important to Shirley and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed making crafts, doing ceramics and listening to country and polka music.

Shirley is survived by a son, Lynn Schively, of Rauchtown; a daughter, Linda Metzger, of Muncy; two grandchildren Lee Metzger (Monica) and Crystal Hood; also four great-grandchildren, Katherine, Patrick, Danielle Metzger and Morgan Hood.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was predeceased by her four brothers, Daniel H., Harrison E., Jr., Robert A. and Richard L. Wolfe; four sisters, Walberger (Thompson), Waneta (Pankau), Gay (Thompson), June (Keeler); also her son-in-law, Norman Metzger; and a grandson-in-law, David Hood.

Funeral services for Shirley will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740 with Rev. Larry L. Leland Jr., of Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville officiating. A public viewing will be at the funeral home from 12:30-1:30 prior to the service.

Burial immediately following the service at Rest Haven, in McElhattan.
