Shirley Mae (Ritz) Stradley, 88, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.  Shirley was born in North Bend on August 9, 1935 to Thomas and Alice (Lauver) Ritz.

Shirley played guitar and sang with her two sisters, Barbara Dougherty and Sylvia Eldred.  The Ritz Sisters played and sang every week at Jim and Jane Radio Carroll.  Shirley was a member of American Folk Musician Association and played every Saturday, 9-9:30 WBPZ Radio Program Country Music Pop Stove and the Trailblazers; Hillbilly Haven at Woolrich Round and square dancing at Woolrich Crossroads.

Shirley served many offices in the South Avis School PTA.  While President, she changed the PTA to the PTO in 1963.  This began the change in most of the schools in the area.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Sherrill Wilds (Bobby) and Susan Bierman (Paul);  three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. There will be a celebration of life held at the family farm at a later date.
