Sara M. Slegle, 85, of Jersey Shore, passed away early Friday morning August 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Jersey Shore, on July 15, 1932, a daughter of Clifton and Lena Shreckengast. She was married to Edward C. Slegle on April 28, 1955, and he predeceased Sara.
She was employed by Weldon's in Williamsport for many years and enjoyed cooking and making candy.
Her survivors include one son, Ron Welshans, of Jersey Shore; one grandson, Judd Welshans (Cheryl), and a great-granddaughter, Maizey. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and one sister.  Sara's graveside service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017, in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
There is no visitation and contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Association, 430 W. Lincoln Ave., Charleston, IL 61920-3021.
