Ronald L. Stabley, Sr., 83, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 surrounded by his family after battling with Parkinson’s disease at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Jersey Shore on March 5, 1943, a son of the late Meryl and Lois (Larison) Stabley.

Ronald was a 1962 graduate of Jersey Shore Area Senior High School. He married the love of his life, the former, Linda Shaffer, on March 7, 1970, who survives. Ronald enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked to spend time with his family, garden, and play his guitar. Ronald loved all types of animals and was very active, frequently going on walks and riding bikes with his wife on the trail.

Surviving Ronald, in addition to his wife of 56 years, Linda, are a daughter, Jennifer Seltzer (Torrie) of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Lauren Fisher (Joshua) and Logan Seltzer (Bri); a great grandson Camden Sakiadis; a great granddaughter on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Reidell and a brother, Dennis Stabley.

In keeping with Ronald’s wishes, there will be no services.
