Robert S. Gallagher, 55, of Cummings Township Lycoming County, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his residence.  He was born April 22, 1966 in Williamsport, PA, a son of Ben and Sharon (Higgins) Gallagher.  He married the former Astrid (Strickler), September 10, 2011 and she survives.

Bob was a welder most of his life.  He was employed by R.P. Machinery before a motorcycle accident that prevented him from working.  He was the owner of Bulldog Metal Works. He enjoyed boating, fishing and playing his guitar.  He also enjoyed raising exotic animals including his Syrian brown bear Paddy Paws.  His first love was visiting and vacationing in the 1000 Island region of the St. Lawrence River.

Besides his wife Astrid and his mother Sharon of Avis, Bob is survived by three children; Noah Robert, Donald Genter, of Williamsport and Angela Genter, of Waterville.  Eight grandchildren: Julie, Miranda, Fizz, Alona, Bella, Ladybug, Bentley and Carter; Siblings Jon, Dewey, Tom, Pat, Kristi and Jen, along with several nieces & nephews. He also has his loyal companion Hawthorn Eugene.  He was predeceased by a sister Cheryl.

Bob's memorial service will be held at 7 pm Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home 1002 Allegheny St. Jersey Shore, Pa 17740 with a visitation for family and friends from 5-7pm prior to the service. His family suggests contributions be made to The Alexander Bay Chamber of Commerce 7 Market St. Alexander Bay, NY 13607.
