JERSEY SHORE - Robert C. "Bonesy" Nichols, 78, of Jersey Shore passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Jersey Shore Manor Care.  Born in Jersey Shore, March 7, 1938, he was the son of Clifton and Lena (Schreckengast) Nichols.

Robert graduated from the Jersey Shore Senior High School in 1957; He married Sandra (Horne) in 1958; they were blessed with 58 years of marriage. Robert had worked at the Jersey Shore Steel Mill, for 41 years, retiring in 2000. One of the things he enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, a daughter Cindy (Don) Christian, a son Rob "Ralph" (Lisa) Nichols; 2 grandsons, Benjamin (Fay) Christian, Michael Nichols (husband Tim Tripp), a granddaughter, Megan Nichols, 3 step grandchildren, Rachael, Cody, and Marshall Lehman, 1 step great grandchild Orion.  He is also survived 2 sisters, Sara Slegle, Doris Beals and 2 nephews, Ron Welshans and Jay Nichols.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, and a brother Jack Nichols.

In keeping with Robert's wishes there will be no public visitation and his services will be at his family's convenience.
