R. Eileen (Myers) Fisher, 98, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Edenbrook North in Williamsport. She was born in Pine Creek on October 8, 1927, a daughter of the late J. Lester and Ruth (Earon) Myers.
Eileen attended Oval United Methodist Church. She taught second and third grade in Jersey Shore and Bradford, PA as well as in Tonawanda and Kenmore, New York, her teaching career spanned 30 years. She enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winters with her beloved George. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and a long-time member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Antes Fort Chapter. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Fisher; son, Stephen Lester Fisher and his wife, Kathryn Fisher of Iowa; an infant daughter; brother Philip and twin brother, J. Lester Myers; and sisters, Ruby Brownlee (John) and Fay Thomas (Gale).
Eileen is survived by her four step grandchildren and six great step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Eileen will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 10:00 – 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday, February 13, 2026. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to Hope Enterprises at 2401 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or Oval United Methodist Church at 6796 PA-44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
