Obituary

Orvis R. "Roy" Timblin, 81, of Lock Haven, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026. Born on May 22, 1945, in Clearfield County, PA, Roy lived a life marked by dedication to family, hard work, and service.

Roy proudly served as a United States Marine, earning multiple medals for his honorable service to his country. Following his military career, he worked in the woods as a tree farmer operator, truck driver, and shop handyman for Woodchips, Inc., where he was well known and respected by colleagues and friends alike.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Roy loved his Dodge pickup trucks and enjoyed spending time fishing at Rose Valley Lake as well as camping occasionally in the great outdoors. Known for his playful spirit, he took great delight in good-naturedly agitating the waitresses at the Restless Oaks Restaurant and earned the nickname, “Trouble.”

He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Robert and Betty Timblin; biological brothers Ed, Russ, and Melvin Timblin; and his adoptive brother Jeff Maguire.

Roy is lovingly survived by his adoptive parents, James and Shirley Maguire; his devoted wife, Donna R. (Muthler) Timblin; son Jeff Timblin; biological brothers Walt Timblin, William Earl, and Bobby Timblin; adoptive brothers Jim (Lori) Maguire and Bob Maguire; biological sisters Helen Thomas and Maxine Conklin; adoptive sisters Becky (Tom) Charles and Markay (Robert) Heverly; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Rest Haven Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will follow at Restless Oaks Restaurant, 119 Pine Mountain Rd, Lock Haven.
