Nancy J. Lewis, 82, of Linden, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. Nancy was born on September 20, 1943, to the late Joseph and Lois (Hoffman) Ignatovich, Jr. in Carbondale, PA.
A devoted professional, Nancy worked many years in nursing and hospital administration, touching countless lives with her compassion and commitment to care. Her career was marked by a steadfast dedication to the well-being of others, a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Nancy was an avid quilter, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her artistry and attention to detail. She was a cherished member of the Lady Lioness, where she formed lasting friendships. Her love for nature was evident in her beautifully kept flower garden, a sanctuary of peace and color that she tended with great pride.
Nancy found immense joy in spending time with her family, particularly cherishing moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her presence was a source of warmth and happiness for all who knew her. Shopping was one of Nancy's beloved hobbies, often enjoyed in the company of friends and family.
Preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Robert J. Lewis, Sr., and brothers Timothy Ignatovich and Joseph Ignatovich, Nancy leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her sons: Robert (Marykathryn) Lewis, Mark Lewis, and Scott (Melinda) Lewis; six grandchildren, Allyson (Kyle) Totaro, Taylor (Alli) Lewis, Alexa (Morey) Longo, Noah (Mackenzie) Campbell, Austin Lewis and Nathaniel Lewis; six great-grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews who she adored and also survived by her brother, Edward Ignatovitch; and sisters, Lois (Dave) White and Lillian (Bob) Weaver.
In accordance with Nancy's wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, located at 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
