Nadine Christal (Kuntz) Young, 66, of Trout Run passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving children after an extended battle with cancer. She was born in Williamsport, April 30, 1959, and was the daughter of Harold D. Kuntz and Arlene J. (Hopkins) Carnes. She was married on April 8, 2000, to the late Ricky E. Young.
Nadine dedicated much of her adult life to her passion as a cosmetologist, managing her own salon for many years where she touched countless lives with her skill and warm personality. She also worked for a few years at Jersey Shore Junior High as a dishwasher. She later worked at Martin's Pantry, where she loved her Martin's family. In her later years, she discovered new creative outlets, crafting custom jewelry, greeting cards, and signs with her artistic touch.
Above all, Nadine had a deep and abiding love for Christ, her family, and her friends. She was a devoted member of Steam Valley Bible Church. She cherished her children and grandchildren.
Her survivors include her son Daniel Lockcuff Jr. (Melissa), and her daughters Stephanie Bennett and Jodi Young; her grandchildren Jacob (Clarissa), Jaden and Ezekiel Lockcuff, and Callie, Alyssa, Owen and Levi Bennett; her stepfather Robert Carnes Sr.; her siblings Dawn Wynn, Sharon Winters, Lance Kuntz, Bobby Carnes (Korrie), Adrian Loomis (Aaron), and Aaron Kuntz (Megan), along with several nieces and nephews. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Rick, and her biological parents.
Nadine's memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Steam Valley Bible Church, 570 State Route 184, Trout Run, PA 17771 with Pastor Tom MacAvoy presiding. A luncheon will follow. Friends and family may call at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family in funeral expenses.
