RAUCHTOWN - Michael L. Meixel, 66, passed away at the Gatehouse on Aug. 6, 2019.

Born June 22, 1953 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late Frank and Anita (Bailey) Meixel.  He and his wife, Christianna (Tori) celebrated 41 years of marriage this year.

Mike graduated from Jersey Shore in 1971. His employment history included Frank L. Meixel Garage, Grumman LLV, and First Quality Products. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and camping along with time with his family.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Ashley (Donn) Mosser, of Woolrich, a son, Brett (Kacie) Meixel, of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters, Skylar and Lylah Mosser; one brother, Jack (Connie) Meixel, of Rauchtown and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his siblings, Dean (Mary) Meixel, of Allenwood; William (Nancy) Meixel, of Rauchtown; Bonnie Stover (Butch), of Rauchtown; and Jean Weigel, of Rauchtown.

The memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Larryville UM Church, Larryville Rd., Jersey Shore.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Larryville UM Church or the Nippenose Valley Volunteer Fire Company.
