JERSEY SHORE - Michael A. Brunner, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Gate House, Williamsport surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on February 25, 1947 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Leon and Anna (Hoffer) Brunner.  He graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1966.  Michael had joined the US Navy and retired from there in 1986 as Chief Quarter Master.  He was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Lions Club and Jersey Shore Honor Guard.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to the beach and being with his family.  He also enjoyed the Black Hawks, Boston Red Sox and Navy Football.

He is survived by two daughters; Jodi L. Henry (David) of Avis and Lori A. O'Brien (Bees) of Farwell, six grandchildren; Tamzen Rainey, Alison Henry, Taran Helm (Kyle), Oaklyn Henry (Olivia), Tevin Fulkrod (Rachel) and Cera McQuillen (Nick), ten great-grandchildren and one sister; Michele Brunner of Franklin.

Graveside services will be private and held in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
