JERSEY SHORE - Judy L. "Slaugenwhite" Stroup, 72, of Avis passed away February 8, 2016 at Manor Care nursing facility in Jersey Shore.

She was the daughter of the late Leroy J. and Mable "Hill" Slaugenwhite.

She was born on September 14, 1942 and married her best friend, Robert B. Stroup, 20 years later on her birthday.  Together they shared 54 years of marriage together.

Judy worked at Woolrich clothing company as a seamstress and also enjoyed crocheting. Some of Judie's favorite things to do would be going for long car rides in the country or going out on a date night for dinner and dancing.  She loved taking her weekend adventures to go to yard sales. When she was young she liked to go roller-skating. Judy is going to be missed very much by her cat "Stubby".

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Bryan; two daughters Milinda Stroup, Terry "Stroup" (Lester) Tibbens; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Daniel Slaugenwhite and a sister Grace Gardner.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E 3rd St, Williamsport, PA 17701

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
