Jon H. "Flookie" Flook, 76, of Salladasburg passed away late Sunday night January 21, 2018 at Manor Care in Jersey Shore.

He was born in Jersey Shore, Oct. 10, 1941 the son of Harold K. and Martha (Forsburg) Flook.  He graduated from Jersey Shore High School and attended Mansfield University.  He was U.S. Army Veteran attaining the rank of Cpl.  He married the former Patricia M. Rainey on October 3, 1965 and she passed away in January of 2015.        .

He was proprietor of the Western Auto store in Jersey Shore from 1973 until 1985.  He was in sales at both Bill Marks Ford and Don Breon Ford outside of Jersey Shore and retired from Susquehanna Transit of Avis in 2017.

Jon enjoyed taking the long way home and was active with many local civic and social groups.  He was a life member of the Jersey Shore VFW, a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and American Legion all of Jersey Shore.  He was a past member and President of the Salladasburg Boro Council. He was a member of the Salladasburg United Methodist Church.  He was a history buff and enjoyed watching football and the Philadelphia Eagles was his favorite team.  He also enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and his motorcycle.  He loved being with his grandchildren.

Jon's survivors include his 5 children; David and Jean Flook, Michael and Barbara Flook, Brian Flook and Jodi and Lloyd Fetzer all local and Michele and Dennis Zink of Bradenton, FL; one sister Carol Ann and Dale Yohe of St. George, UT along with 4 grandchildren: Robert, Josh, Kyle and Amanda and 5 step grandchildren: Nick, Zach, Jess, Jennifer and Lisa along with several great grandchildren.

Flookie's Life Tribute service will be held at 5pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at Independent Hose Company 130 Pennsylvania Ave., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.   Friends and relatives may call at the fire hall from 3pm until 5pm on Friday.  Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or Independent Hose Co, 130 Pennsylvania Avenue, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
