JERSEY SHORE - Joan L. Thompson, 80, of Nices Hollow Road, Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Jersey Shore, September 8, 1935, a daughter Herbert E. and Josephine (Servey) Carr.  She was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and was employed as a cook in food services with Manor Care.  Joan was married to Richard Thompson, who passed away in May of 1993.

Her survivors include 1 daughter, Bonnie R. Herold with whom she resided and 1 son, Larry R. Greene of Antes Fort, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Joan was predeased by 2 children, Gordon Greene and Connie Cataldo and 2 sisters, Anna & Norma.

In keeping with Joan's wishes, there will be no services and her family suggests contributions be made to Susquehanna Home Health Hospice, 1100 Grampion Blvd. Williamsport, PA  17701.
